How it works The book About FAQ Become a supporter
Every question, answered honestly

If you're wondering,
so was someone else.

If your question isn't here, write to us at support@myeviga.com. We answer everything — usually within a few hours, always within a day.

For the parent who'll be using it

What if my mom isn't very technical?+

That's the whole reason Eviga lives in WhatsApp. If she can send a voice note to her grandchild, she can use Eviga. There's nothing to install, nothing to log into, no app to learn, no password to remember. We send her a message, she replies. That's the whole interface.

What if she doesn't have WhatsApp?+

Most parents 60+ in Europe already do — it's their primary way of staying in touch with grandchildren. If she doesn't, helping her install it is a 5-minute call. We have a guide we can send her, in her language, with screenshots. SMS fallback is on our roadmap for parents who genuinely can't or won't use WhatsApp.

What if she doesn't engage?+

You're not alone — this is the most common question we get. Three things help: we send one question at a time (not a list), we include a photo from her own life with each prompt as a memory trigger, and you can nudge from your dashboard ("ask her about Skagen"). Eviga also gently follows up if she goes quiet — like a thoughtful grandchild would, not like an app. If she ultimately just doesn't want to do it, we'll work with you on a pause or partial refund.

What if she's a bit forgetful, or has early dementia?+

Eviga is gentle with that. She can repeat herself across weeks — we keep the best version of each story. She can correct herself in the next voice note. We don't push for accuracy; we capture what she remembers, in the way she remembers it. For families where time is genuinely short, we offer an accelerated cadence — daily questions, custom photo prompts, priority production. Email support@myeviga.com and we'll set it up.

Will she know it's an AI?+

Yes — we tell her, gently, on day one. Eviga introduces itself honestly as an AI built for capturing stories, sent by you. We've found that most parents are completely comfortable with this, especially when they know it's a gift from their child. We don't fake humanity. We just make the AI very good at being patient.

For the buyer (you)

What's actually included in the £149?+

A gentle, ongoing WhatsApp conversation paced by her — until her story feels complete · the AI-woven memoir as a private digital archive · one printed hardcover (~200 pages, cloth, foil-stamped, archival paper) shipped to wherever she lives · QR codes throughout the book that play her voice · personal onboarding from the team · full refund if we don't launch on time. Additional copies of the hardcover are available at print-cost (~£35) for siblings and grandchildren.

What if I want it for my dad, or my grandma, or for myself?+

All of those work. The product is the same; only the questions adapt. At checkout you'll tell us who it's for and your relationship to them, and Eviga tunes the question bank accordingly — different prompts for a father than for a mother, different for a grandparent than for a parent, different for self-narration. The hardcover and voice clips work identically.

What if I want it for both my parents?+

You can — and many people do. Each parent gets their own engagement, their own digital archive, and their own hardcover book. Mum's stories never mix with dad's; each book is fully theirs, written in their own voice. We've made a bundle for this case: £249 for both parents instead of 2 × £149, saving you £49. See the both-parents page or just go straight to checkout for the bundle.

How does the gift activation work?+

You enter her name, WhatsApp number, and your relationship to her. Optionally write a personal note. Pay £149. We compose a warm first message in your voice, ready for you to send to her — or schedule it for a date you choose (her birthday, Mother's Day, Christmas Eve). When she replies "hi" to the message, the conversation begins.

Can I see her stories as they come in?+

Yes. From your private dashboard you can read every chapter as it's drafted, listen to her original voice clips, suggest follow-up questions, and add family photos that get woven into the right chapters. You also receive WhatsApp updates from Eviga whenever she shares something significant.

Can I share access with my siblings?+

Yes. You can invite up to five people to view the dashboard — siblings, your kids, her sisters. Each gets their own access; you control permissions. Many families turn Eviga into a quiet collaboration: each sibling adds the prompts they want answered.

About the book itself

How long is the finished book?+

About 200 pages, but it varies. If she's a generous storyteller, it could be 240. If she gives shorter answers, 160. The book honors what she gave — we don't pad.

When does the book actually get printed?+

Whenever you order it. The conversation builds the digital archive; when you decide the book is ready (a birthday, an anniversary, a milestone), you order the printed book from your dashboard. It's printed within 5 days and shipped within 10–14 days. You can order it whenever feels right, and you can order additional copies later as more chapters get added.

What if I want to edit something before printing?+

You can. Every chapter goes through a "review" state before it's locked in — you can request edits, suggest different photos, ask the AI to expand a section. Most families don't change much; the AI's first draft tends to be remarkably close to what they want.

What language is the book printed in?+

Whatever language she tells stories in. We currently support Swedish, Danish, and English. She can mix languages in voice notes — the AI handles that gracefully. The book preserves her language choices.

How do the QR codes work?+

Beside the most important stories in the book, a small QR code sits in the margin. Anyone with a smartphone — your kids, her grandchildren, anyone in 50 years — can hover their phone over it and her actual voice plays. The voice files are stored permanently on EU servers, mirrored across two regions, guaranteed for 50+ years.

Privacy & data

Where is her data stored?+

EU servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). No data crosses to the US. GDPR-compliant by default and by design.

Who has access to her stories?+

You and the family members you invite. The Eviga team has technical access (we'd be lying if we said otherwise — someone has to maintain the systems), but our team is tiny, GDPR-bound, and we never read individual stories unless you ask us to help with something specific.

Will her data be used to train AI?+

No. Her voice clips and stories are not used to train any AI model — ours, or any third party's. They are used only to write her book. Our AI providers are bound by data-processing agreements that prohibit training on customer data.

What if she wants everything deleted?+

Email radera@myeviga.com from her or your associated email. We delete every voice clip, transcript, draft chapter, and database record within 72 hours, and confirm in writing when it's done. You can also stop any time without deleting — just pause the questions, archive the chapters.

What happens to her data if Eviga shuts down?+

Two protections. (1) We hold escrow with our cloud provider that maintains your voice files for 5 years even in the event of company shutdown. (2) Before any wind-down, every customer is sent an export of everything — voice clips as MP3, chapters as PDF, photos as a zip file. You'd never lose access without warning.

About being a founding supporter

What does "founding supporter" actually mean?+

You're one of the first 50 people backing Eviga at the locked-in £149 price (public launch will be £179). You get the same product — a gentle WhatsApp conversation paced by her, the digital archive, the hardcover, QR codes, family sharing — plus personal onboarding from the team and a direct line for feedback that shapes the product.

What if you don't actually launch?+

Full refund, no questions. The £149 sits in Stripe, ringfenced. If we don't launch by the date we promise (we'll commit to a specific month at checkout), every founding supporter is refunded automatically. You're funding the build — we're underwriting the risk.

Can I cancel after I've paid?+

Yes, until launch. After launch (when the gift activates), the product becomes harder to refund cleanly because we've already begun her engagement — but if it genuinely isn't working out, write to us and we'll work something out. We have not yet refused a reasonable request.

When will it actually launch?+

Our target is the first half of 2026 — we'll commit to a specific month at checkout. We're being deliberate about not over-promising; you'd rather we ship something that genuinely works than something rushed. Founding supporters get early access two weeks before public launch.
